How to play
Push the board up, down, left or right. Two equal numbers collide and merge into one tile of double the value, and each push drops a new 2 or 4 somewhere. Making 2048 counts as done, though you can carry on merging past it. When the board is full and no neighbours match, the round is over.
What is different here
Nothing is saved. Close the page or start a new round and the current one is gone - there is no "continue later" to come back to. It is meant for a two-minute break, and a saved game is exactly the thing you would keep thinking about. The leaderboard keeps one best single round per device, so nobody can fill it up on their own.
A few tips
- Pick one corner as home for your biggest tile and keep it parked there.
- Push in two directions most of the time; lean on the other two rarely and the board stays tidy.
- Keep each row increasing in one direction - merges come much more easily later.
- Do not merge small tiles too eagerly; leaving a few as padding is often more flexible than an empty gap.
